Comaraderie
I’m not a great fan of strenuous exercise, I know, that’s not a good thing.
But I have this strange fascination for cyclers. I caught these three in the mountains of SW France on my last trip.
Elemental Gender
Love Is Best When Improvised
It really is true, Love IS best when improvised. Whether you are male and female, or male and male, or female and female the abiding fact is that you are people and not objects. You change, you morph, you have your ups, downs, likes dislikes and there is nothing more fun than finding a lover who understands that and who stays in the moment — right there with you.
Minimalist Pussy
I did a little cat-sitting during our family’s recent vacation. While the junior members of the family were gone I was doing cat portraits!
What is more the essence of a cat than it’s whiskers? And how do you epitomize the nature of the stealthy feline?
I decided that this was the approach I wanted.

Speed Bumps Along the Road to Art
Highway maintenance is always a challenge. In a time of tight budgets and governmental cutbacks we have all seen potholes where we wished there were none.
Can you imagine coming upon holes like this in the pavement in front of you. I can imagine break lights blaring and cars swerving even in the midst of rush hour traffic……
But all is not what it might seem when you get up close and personal with these Canadian examples of creative speed bumping….. Printed on durable material the “pot holes” can be moved around to different parts of the city so that drivers never know which hole is real and which is fake.
Isn’t Art Great!
Dancing Darling
A pretty “girl”, a little music, a feeling of freedom, and what results is a dancing darling.
This digital painting captures just a part of that mood

Water so often conveys a sense of tranquility — even though the sea can often be treacherous and the surrounding elements may be filled with motion and hub-bub. Well, at least it’s a symbol of tranquility to this landlubber. Sun shimmering over the water even on an overcast day when the sun can scarcely be identified.
In The Light

Just how attracted are you to the bright lights of attention and publicity?
It often seems to me that attention is something craved more by the young than the old. On one level the young LOOK better than the old and they know it. The old often feel as if they have lost something in age (whether it be tight skin or something far more ethereal in their personality)
Surprisingly, my models are NOT exclusively young. and finding ways to celebrate them at whatever age they may be when they arrive in studio is a special delight.
Grilled

Nothing complicated, a simple cast iron grate set in an old wall.
