One Light, One Woman

I’m still looking for just the right model….. somehow the spine doesn’t do quite what I was hoping for, but that’s the joy of photography, working with what is, not just with your imagination.

Body art is such a personal expresison of self.  Many people love it; others can’t possibly understand why other people “do that to themselves”; but fortunately you aren’t resonsible for what I do, and I’m not responsible for what you do.

Surely, there are a great many people to adorn their body for nonsensical reasons — sometimes related to alcohol.  But for many their tattoos and ink are highly personal statements of who they are and how they relate to the world.

Just how attracted are you to the bright lights of attention and publicity?

It often seems to me that attention is something craved more by the young than the old.  On one level the young LOOK better than the old and they know it.  The old often feel as if they have lost something in age (whether it be tight skin or something far more ethereal in their personality)

Surprisingly, my models are NOT exclusively young.  and finding ways to celebrate them at whatever age they may be when they arrive in studio is a special delight.

Sometimes beauty isn’t about being skinny.

Working with a nude model isn’t what people think.  And I’m always delighted when a model gets lost in her own thoughts and forgets that I’m even there.
